How'd you like being in jail?

That was just the beginning of the end. David Letterman was relentless. I was laughing so hard, but after like 4 minutes, I seriously felt bad for Paris Hilton, his first guest on the Monday Late Show.

We got the fortunate privilege of being admitted to a Letterman live taping Monday evening. Letterman does two tapping on Mondays. One airs Monday and the second (ours) aired on Friday. On one of our random walking tours we passed the Ed Sullivan Theater on 54th and Broadway (sound familiar?) and saw its doors open to the public. We walked in and found out we could sign up for free tickets. WHY NOT. We put our contact information down and wouldn't you know we get a call the next day telling us to show up for the recording. AMAZING. I was pumped to be part of my favorite show.

Letterman kept peppering her with jail jail jail questions. I mean. Let it go David. If Mike Tyson was your guest, would you have kept bringing up his jail time? NO. Since it was little sissy girl Paris Hilton, Dave felt the need to become an extension of the thousands of Americans who actually give a shit about Hilton and continually embarrassed her for being the famous person she is.

Letterman wasn't even being sincere about the whole experience. He was just roasting her. It was so wild. Paris began to get emotional. You could tell she hated Letterman for doing what he was doing. Letterman wouldn't quit. THAT'S WHY HE IS THE MAN. Sitting behind that desk. Doing it for 25 years gives him the ability to roast the best of any of his guests.

Her leg kept bouncing. The fatal sign of someone feeling uncomfortable. Not to mention the hundreds of thousands and people presumably laughing at her embarrassment of a  life.

Letterman continued to show Paris up by drinking a fake impersonation of her perfume. Even going as far as chugging the bottle. Stirring laughter from the audience, but not amusing Hilton.

I love Letterman. I like his sense of humor.. I watch his show over Leno every time (except for Leno's Headlines, gig which is the funniest shit ever). But Letterman seems to become an iconic image who thinks he can just get away with anything. I guess he can. He is David FUCKING Letterman
