Jared Boone, who worked for my father's company, The Eric Ryan Corporation, for the past two years and grew to be one of my close friends in his time of employment, sadly passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2007 from an apparent heart attack. He was thirty-one years old. He is survived by his companion, Jody Weir, and his daughter, Rhiannon C. Boone.

APRIL 19, 2007:
KOPPLE, PA (AP) - The Eric Ryan
Corporation captured the Ellwood City Civic League bowling championship
last night in front of record crowds at Sim's Bowling Lanes. ERC gained a
playoff berth during the league's regular
season and captured the league title despite having the second worst record in
the league at 50-70. No other team
in the playoffs had less than 62 wins.
"We didn't care about the regular season," said bowler Eric Venezie as teammates
doused him with champagne
after the team victory, "once playoffs came around we just knew if we bowled
good enough, we could beat anybody."
Venezie was named playoff MVP for his outstanding performance. Venezie bowled a
513 series (165-166-182)
easily eclipsing his regular season average of 417.
Eric Ryan Corporation also received big games from its other four bowlers, Ryan
Venezie, Anthony Venezie, Rick
Larkin, and Rob Shumaker.
"It was a total team effort." said captain Ryan Venezie uncorking a bottle of
bubbly after the victory. "A no
point during the matches did we feel like we were going to lose."
"As long as you're having fun, bowling comes second on many nights," said Rick
Larkin exchanging high fives with
teammate Shumaker.
"Yeah man, wwwoooooo!" added Shumaker as he finished his pitcher of beer.
Anthony Venezie declined to comment after the games claiming he needed to get
home and rub his girlfriends feet.
Eric Ryan will receive its championship accolades this Saturday Night at the
League banquet. The team has
dedicated its season, championship performance, and unforgettable memories to
former teammate Jared Boone,
who tragically passed away midseason leaving Eric Ryan struggling to find its
competitive drive and composure.
"We knew we had the big JB in the sky watching over us, he would have been so
proud of me and the team."
said MVP Eric Venezie
This one was for Jared Boone AKA Charlie Muscle.

Jared always claimed he would one day find his initial splitting my brother's name and my own name on the company sign. He thought by holding the title as Vice President of Office Games and Scams he would one day find his name on the big board. Who knew it would take such a terrible tragedy for his wish to come true.

Wednesday, March 14th seemed like any other Wednesday night. The five man gang from The Eric Ryan Corporation would get together at Sim's bowling alley in Koppel for the league night. This is where Jared would shine. If you don't know Jared, take a close look at these two pictures. He was a loud-mouth, in your face, competitive kind of guy. He was a blast to bowl with and be around on Wednesday nights. His barbeque-wing stained, turquoise jersey and his nickname, Charlie Muscle, will always be remembered.

While we're moving forward, you always had my back. Funny story. Late one night last summer after coming home from a party and entering my house I tripped, hit my head on the corner of a flight of steps, and cut myself open pretty bad. I went to the ER and got a dozen stitches. The next Monday at work Jared caught me in the kitchen and asked me what happened. I figured I would play a joke on him and get him fired up. I told him I got into a huge brawl at a party, was blind-sided and cut open when someone smashed a bottle over my head. Oh, this got him fired up alright. Jared became furious, demanded we find out who did this to me, and was ready to kick someone's ass at 9 am on a Monday morning. I played along with him a little more, but couldn't contain my laughter and eventually blew my cover. It was fun while it lasted. I will always remember you got my back Jared.

Penguins game March 4, 2007 versus the Philadelphia Flyers. I designed t-shirts for the game. Philadelphia Failures, 0 for 8, yeah that was Jared's idea. I will never forget we rocked the shirts to the game and then after the game, in the parking lot, I sold Jared's nacho stained XXL shirt for $10.

Oh we had some good times.

*notice background
An action photo gone wrong. Jared always had a foul sense of humor, had a sailor's mouth, and he showed it off plenty of times. While taking a picture of an employee in action, Jared jumped out of his cubicle/cubby hole and gave the salute. Fortunately I was able to edit him out and use the picture. Even more fortunate was the fact that I still have the original picture saved on my computer. Good times JB. Good times.

Wait, Jared played basketball? I thought he was just a Pitt basketball FAN.
Rest In Peace big guy.

Christmas season. We all love you guys. Consider this a Christmas hug from the Froce Family.
~ Neil & Carrie Froce December 2, 2007: Jared is smiling this morning over Pitts win over wv.I really miss watching games with me but I know he was with me in spirit last night. Hope everyone has A GREAT CHRISTMAS. ~Tom September 28, 2007: Okay. I've heard a lot of "classic Jared" stories from Jared's childhood friend, and my husband, Jeff Lonnett. And from those stories, I understand that Jared was truly ONE OF A KIND. I only had the pleasure of knowing Jared for a couple of years, but I am so thankful I had that amount of time with him. I am so moved by the kind of guy he was and his affect on everyone around him that I want to share my own Jared experience. My husband, Jeff, and I went up to EC for a weekend while I was pregnant with our son, Cade, and were able to spend some time with Jared. It was during this visit that I was able to see just what kind of guy Jared REALLY was. The kind of guy that would do anything for the people he cared about, the kind of guy that went out of his way for people, the kind of guy that had a huge heart, the kind of guy you wanted to be around. Jared took care of me as if I had known him for years - asking numerous times if I was feeling okay, offering to drive home to get a sweatshirt for me on a chilly night, offering his hand as I (a chick with a big 'ol pregnant belly) tried to maneuver down some steep stairs, etc. I was struck by the fact that this guy who had the ability to "dish it out" to everyone also had the capacity to be extremely caring and thoughtful. We can all consider ourselves lucky to have had our lives touched by such a guy. ~Cori Lonnett :) August 30, 2007: Happy Birthday Jared. Fall is rolling in, football season is nearing and hockey and college basketball season will soon be here as well. Along with all these sports seasons comes bowling season and as you can read on this page, we captured the championship at Sim's Lanes earlier this year. We are out to defend our title and sure as hell could use Charlie Muscle to help defend the throne. A few of us went out earlier this week to practice and it got me thinking of how long of 32-week season it is going to be without the big JB throwing his mean hook, flat-out looking hilarious in his bowling attire, but NOW more importantly, watching over us. Steelers, Pens, and Pitt Basketball, not to mention ERC bowling. Gonna miss the pointless sports arguments Jared and I had. ~Eric Venezie June 18, 2007: Well it has been some time since anyone has submitted a comment so I figured I would fire one from the hip. I just got back from a vacation at Ocean City with my brother Ryan and our buddy Rob, all of having worked for ERC and bowled on our team with Jared. One night on vacation this past week we were out at a dance club in Ocean City having a great time and the old school song OPP by Naughty by Nature came on. Its one of those songs that jogs your memory and I flashed back to bowling league nights where after a long night of bowling and having a good time Jared and I would be driving back into town blasting Naughty by Nature in his Impala -- windows down, singing our lungs out. Jared invented the freestyle lyrics - You down with ERC? Yeah me and EV! - and I would chime in - You down with ERC? Yeah me and JB! I LOVE IT A terrible singer, but an original gangsta -- MISS YA JB!!! ~Eric Venezie May 20, 2007: ~Neil Froce May 20, 2007: ~Neil Froce April 21, 2007: ~Thomas Boone
March 24, 2007: Jared Boone was my legendary tag team partner for years vs. the evil trio of Landon Costa, Chad Wiech and Greg Brant. (And I had the honor of sitting next to him at Ellen West Marketing for over a year -- try getting a telephone donation from someone while Jared has you in the camel clutch!) I'll miss him forever and tell stories about him to my grandkids. The only person in the history of fantasy football to change his team name every single week in order to make fun of people he doesn't know. The only person in the world who you actually like better the more that he makes fun of you. The only person who could walk by, punch you in the stomach, and you don't get mad at him. My tag team partner -- What was I thinking! I love Jared Boone and will miss his antics, his friendship and his smile that could light up a room. If he knew I wrote this, he'd make fun of me for a year... Love ya brother!!! Jeff Lonnett March 22, 2007: ~Thomas Boone March 22, 2007:
